Man, life is good! I'm spending more time with my friends and family that I have in a long time and I believe that is a big key to happiness! Even though I am no longer with the person that I thought I would spend the rest of my life with, I am still in much better spirits than I have been in a long while. I will admit, I have a ton of growing up to do before I do find the "right" person - but as for right now, I'm fine with being single and just hanging out with all of my friends. Anyway, I will close with a quote that I read somewhere recently: "It is not until you have lost everything that you are free to do anything."

Busy, busy, busy

I have been sooooo busy lately. I have been working and spending a lot of time w/Chris. It's been nice to not have any time for this actually. Anyway, life is great right now! I didn't have to work a lot last week b/c there wasn't anything for me to do at all.....so I went out of town w/the BBQ team from work w/my parents. It was a lot of fun...and now I am also a part of it b/c I worked my ass off.......that is a really really good thing for me right now b/c the guy that runs the place I work is the head of the BBQ team, and he loves me hehehehe. Anyway, I'm extremely tired and I'm getting up in the morning to go hit a bucket of balls at the driving range to practice for the golf tournament next Saturday :-)

Yesterday I was having a HORRIBLE day. Everything was going wrong....work was bad, my brakes went out in my car, plans were changed, etc...Well, as soon as I got off work my wonderful boyfriend and I went to Cat's house to hang out w/her, Jason, and Michel. As soon as I walked in, my day changed for the better! So, we drank a few beers and headed out for this Latin Club in Chattanooga to hear a dj play some Latin House...welllll, when we got there, the place was already closed for some strange reason. Anyway, so we proceeded to go to "The Local" for open mic night to check out O.I. who was going to be performing. We went, had a few more beers, smoked some black and blacks(black and milds), hung out with some good people and then headed back to Cat's apartment. After staying there for a while, we all decided that it would be a great idea to go get some grub at the wonderful IHOP. After eating, it was already 4:30AM, so we called it a night and said our good-byes. Jason has once again left Chattanooga to head back the his paradise in Hawaii. I really hope that Chris and I will join him there soon, but until then, I wish him the best of luck and keep him in my prayers. I also send many thanks his way for the wonderful week that he made for us here in Chattanooga.

This weekend was AWESOME.....record shopping in Atlanta, then up to Knoxville to KFAR, then we drove back to Chattanooga for Roofless, and then the Lookouts game today!!! It was great to see Jason in from Hawaii and to be able to finally hang out with him again. He was so generous this weekend and I send him many thanks! Anyway, the last post was one that was made under the influence so please forgive me for it, hehehehe. I mean, I did have a lot of fun during those times, but definately not enough to wanna go back and change anything....and I'm having more fun now that I have ever had! Peace for now.

I decided to look at some old photos that I have on my computer from the past few years and I got extremely sad. I looked at all of my old cheerleading pictures that are on my folder and I saw how happy I was with all of "my girls" as I used to call them. See, they were more than just friends, they were like close family becuase we were with each other every single day. I mean, even summer break from school - we were either outside running or working out and practicing inside five days a week. Seven of us started together when we were six years old, and we all ended together too. I haven't talked to a lot of them since last summer because they moved, I moved - we just lost communication somewhere. I miss the bonds that we made together over the years, and I really miss having girl friends that were real people. We had no secrets from each other at all....you really can't when you're with somebody that often. But, we liked being together; every weekend we would go out on dates with our boyfriends, and we would have a "girls night out" about once a month. Everybody used to come over to my house all the time and we would have huge sleep overs and everything, sometimes all nineteen of us. Now, I only really speak to two of "my girls." I really miss them, but even if we did all hang out again, things wouldn't be the same because, just in the past year, we have all changed so much. Anyway, if anybody reads this that is still in high school, let me give you a little piece of advice.....have as much fun with your friends as you can and spend as much time with each other as possible, but after graduation, know that things will change and people will change and things won't be the same again; but please don't think that those will be the best friends you will ever have, always know that you can have as much fun and meet more great friends as you grow older and mature into an adult.

This morning I woke up and went to the doctor.....sick.....and it sucks. I have bronchitis and a sinus infection, but I should be good to go for my big weekend. Well, I hope I will be anyway. Keep me in your thoughts!

I'm feeling a little down today, so I decided to make a list of things that I have to look forward to....

lunch break in 30 minutes

getting off of work tonight

seeing Chris

getting paid tomorrow

going record shopping in Atlanta on Saturday morning..

..then heading to Knoxville for a KFAR/pre Roofless party with a lot of friends...

..then back to Chattanooga for Roofless on Sunday...

...then the Lookouts game on Monday!!!

Okay, it worked...I'm very excited and happy now! Hooray!!! I CAN'T wait until Roofless 9/5/2004!!!

short biography...

Okay, I'm taking a little time out to give you an extremely short history on my life so you might be able to understand me a little better....here goes...

I grew up in very small town in Georgia called Dade County. I attended school there from kindergarten until I graduated in 2003. I was a cheerleader from the time I was six until I was eighteen. During those twelve years of cheering I also did other activities at random times throughout. I was in the marching band for two years, played softball for six years, was the mascot for two years, and I also cheered for two different all-star squads for two years. After high school, I moved to Atlanta for my freshman year of college. I found a talent and interest in playing records around Christmas of 2003 and I have fallen in love with the guy who introduced me to the turntables and have been dating him since New Year's of 2004. I moved home from school in the spring, and now I'm working at my dad's work doing a whole lot of nothing. I have plans to go back to school in January 2005 at Chattanooga State and I have no idea what I want to major in still.

So, there you have it, my brief history....
